About

Hello! I am so happy that you are here. I'm Christina - the owner and creator behind the scenes here!

I started Twig & Ivory Design in September 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic when the world was shut down and spending time at home was basically all there was to do. I have always been one to have a “side hustle”, but now that I am a mama to an amazing 4 year old, a wife to my amazing husband, and a fur mama to my spunky little cockapoo, I knew that I didn’t want to be away from home working in the evenings and weekends.

I create these clay accessories after my little boy's bedtime and I get to be present with him while he is home which is the most important thing to me. I have a passion for all things decor, design, marketing and fashion so this business is an absolute blessing where I get to do it all.

I am such a people person and I love my friends and family! My high school report cards always stated that I “talked too much”. I have created such wonderful relationships through social media from this business and I am forever grateful for the people I have met along the way and the excitement that people have when receiving my creations! It’s a feeling I will never be able to explain.

I am so happy you are here & reading this!

Please shoot me a message on social media so we can chat and get to know each other even more.

For years I have searched for an idea to create my own business where I am the maker and I get to share my passion for design and fashion with others. I wanted to do something that made me proud and something that I could build and would be all mine. I have a huge passion for all things marketing (instagram is my jam and taking photos is a hobby I love so much) when the idea of creating clay earrings came to me it was a no-brainer - this was going to be the business that I create.

From that day I have jumped in and put in countless hours of educating myself on not only the very important process of creating a top quality clay accessory, but also educating myself on being an entrepreneur and what is involved in owning a small business. I am a perfectionist and proud of it! I have created this brand to reflect who I am and I spend hours on creating beautifully made products that my customers will love.

Little did I know when I began this business in late 2020, that this was going to be so much more than just a small business. I wanted to give back to an organization that holds a very special place in my heart and this was going to be how that happened.

In late 2017, my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. At this time we were 29 years old and just getting settled into our new life as parents with our 4 month old baby boy. Our life was shattered and for months my husband went through rounds of chemotherapy which he completed. Just a few months later, the cancer returned. He continued on with more chemotherapy, completed a successful stem cell transplant in 2019, and I am happy to report he is currently in remission.

During this difficult time we received support from Charlotte County Cancer. I remember telling my husband that I couldn’t wait to repay that organization that helped us tremendously. Through this business I have been able to give back and I can’t wait to continue this and help those in my community battling cancer. For every sale, Twig & Ivory Design donates 10% back to Charlotte County Cancer to assist other families going through such a difficult time.

I learned so much through that journey. I feel like it made me a better person and shaped me into who I am today. Without those life lessons I am not sure I would have been fearless enough to put myself out there and create this new business (because putting yourself out there is scary).

Life is short and you have to chase after your dreams and create a life you are so freakin’ proud of.

Christina, xo
